Off-duty officer in Wellington accused of assaulting two women

23 December 2019

The Authority oversaw a Police investigation into a notification that two women had been assaulted by an off-duty officer on Courtenay Place. One claimed to have been strangled and punched by the officer, and the other said she was punched.

The investigation found that there was insufficient evidence to support the allegations.

The Authority agreed with the outcome.
