The Authority oversaw a Police investigation into a complaint where it was alleged that an off duty Police officer in Southern District behaved inappropriately towards a person he had visited to talk to about a personal matter. It was further alleged that a couple of days later the Police officer encountered the same person on the street and assaulted him. In relation to the first incident Police carried out an employment investigation. It was found that the officer's actions amounted to misconduct and he was dealt with through a confidential employment process. Police conducted a criminal investigation into the assault complaint, but determined that there was insufficient evidence to charge the officer.
The Authority agreed with Police's handling of the matter.
