Police Officer in Auckland City District disciplined for unprofessional conduct

16 October 2019

The Authority oversaw the investigations of an off-duty officer who physically confronted a young person whom he believed was bullying members of his family. The Police investigation found that the case did not meet the public interest for a criminal prosecution so it was dealt with in a confidential employment process. The Authority is satisfied that appropriate action was taken with the officer to address the issue.
