A Police employee obtained a warrant of fitness for his vehicle without paying for it

24 April 2020

The Authority oversaw a Police investigation into a complaint that a Police employee approached a person he knew issued warrants of fitness (WOF) and obtained a WOF without paying for it. Police investigated the claim which was upheld. Due to the low monetary value, Police decided not to prosecute the staff member. The staff member resigned during the investigation. The Authority agrees with the findings of the investigation.
