24 August 2020

The Authority oversaw a Police investigation into an allegation an officer appeared to use his position to help a friend who was involved in a civil dispute. The officer provided a personal statement on his friend's behalf and in the statement, he identified himself as a member of Police.

Police found the officer breached their conflict of interest policy. The officer's conduct was addressed through an employment process. The Authority agreed with the Police finding and the outcome.
