Officer in Canterbury commits privacy breach by sending details of a traffic stop to his wife via social media

The Authority oversaw a Police investigation into a complaint where it was alleged a Police officer had sent personal details of a person involved in a traffic stop, to his wife via Snapchat. The officer admitted doing this. His conduct was addressed through an employment process which applied an appropriate outcome. The Authority agreed with the Police finding and the outcome.
