Off-duty officer in Auckland City pleads guilty to drink driving

The Authority oversaw an investigation into an allegation an off-duty Police officer drove while above the legal breath alcohol limit. The officer was charged with EBA and pleaded guilty. The court fined and disqualified him from driving for six months.
The Police commenced an employment investigation but the officer resigned before it could be completed.
The Authority agrees with Police actions.
