Police officer drove carelessly while on duty in Dunedin

Police notified the Authority of an incident where a Police officer crashed his patrol vehicle into another car while on duty. The officer was driving to a priority assault incident and using lights and siren when he drove through a red traffic light and collided with a member of the public's car.

Police conducted a criminal investigation which found the officer had driven carelessly and resulted in a written traffic warning. The Authority agreed with the Police investigation.
