The Authority oversaw a Police investigation from Central District into a complaint about an officer who allegedly had a conflict of interest with a member of the public and accessed Police records about them.
Police conducted an audit of the staff member’s use of the Police database and identified instances where the officer had conducted searches of the database which were not for legitimate work purposes. The officer had also failed to declare a conflict of interest.
Police took appropriate employment actions against the officer and the Authority agrees with the outcome they reached.
