The Authority oversaw a Police employment process regarding an allegation that one of their staff members provided false information about another individual to Immigration New Zealand. Following a court hearing, the Police staff member pleaded guilty and was sentenced.
Police completed an employment process that found the member’s actions amounted to a breach of the Police Code of Conduct, and they were sanctioned.
The Authority agrees with the process and actions taken by Police.
