The Authority oversaw a Police investigation into an allegation that an officer did not comply with policy during a pursuit. The officer reached speeds of 148kph in a 50kph zone. He swerved to avoid a traffic island and crashed into a bus shelter and power pole, causing $90,000 worth of damage.
The officer was convicted of driving at a dangerous speed and Police undertook an employment process.
The Authority agrees with the findings of the investigation.
