The Authority oversaw a Police investigation concerning a Counties Manukau District Police officer who had used the Police database to obtain the details of a female member of public he had met while on duty and then used those details to initiate contact with her.
Police completed an employment process that found the officer’s actions amounted to a breach of the Police Code of Conduct.
The Authority agrees with these findings.
