The Authority oversaw a Police investigation where an officer breached policy by failing to inform the Police communications centre that he had commenced a pursuit.
During the pursuit, the officer did not appropriately account for the hazards involved (such as the gravel road) which placed him and the fleeing driver at further risk. Police took appropriate employment action with the officer and the Authority agrees with the outcome.
